Teena’s roots trace back to a family history of wandering and resourcefulness, marked by movement across states like Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma. Her father, like his father before him, was a skilled tinkerer, adept at fixing everything from small cars to large trucks and 18-wheelers. On her maternal side, her grandparents ran a pest control company and frequently traveled to visit family and attend large flea markets, gatherings where she encountered a tapestry of people and cultures.
At sixteen, Teena received her first Tarot deck from her mother—a pivotal gift that began her lifelong study of metaphysics and spirituality. Her mother’s friend introduced her to astrology, sparking a curiosity about beliefs from around the world. Growing up, she often heard her mother and grandmother discuss their dreams and the meanings they carried, a ritual that deepened her awareness of the mystical connections between dreams, symbols, and intuition.
That first Tarot deck opened a door to spiritual discovery, and Teena has never stopped seeking a deeper understanding of the mysteries that connect us all. Today, she uses Tarot to help others look within, believing that the cards act as a mirror, reflecting back insights that reside within each person. She often reminds clients that the guidance they receive is already known to them on some level—it just needs a different voice or format to be heard clearly. For Teena, Tarot is a means of helping people better connect with themselves, the energies of the universe, and the higher power that unites us all.
Through her work at Kaleidoscope Out of the Box, Teena provides spiritual counseling rooted in a belief that everyone’s journey is unique, and each goal, however small or grand, is meaningful. She offers clients a safe, non-judgmental space to speak their needs and doubts aloud, aiming to help each individual uncover their own answers. She encourages her clients to explore what they truly seek, whether it’s a greater appreciation for the present moment or a transformative connection to spirit and self.
As an ordained minister, Teena also performs weddings and teaches classes that guide others on their own spiritual paths. Her mission is to help people feel empowered to walk their own path and find their connection to the beauty and power that exist within and around them.

Exploring Sound Healing: Harmonizing Mind, Body, and Spirit Through Vibrational Therapy
Sound healing taps into one of the most primal aspects of human experience: vibration. Sound has long been understood to have a profound impact on our physical, emotional, and mental states. Modern sound healing techniques draw on ancient practices from many cultures that used sound as a powerful way to foster relaxation, clarity, and emotional release.
The Science Behind Sound Healing
At its core, sound healing leverages the natural ability of sound frequencies to influence the brain and nervous system. Sound waves travel through the body, impacting our cells and even brain waves, bringing our nervous system into a state of relaxation or alertness, depending on the frequencies used. Instruments like Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, and even vocal tones are known to create different frequencies, which can resonate with and "tune" various parts of the body.
For instance, low-frequency vibrations are often associated with relaxation and grounding, engaging the body’s parasympathetic response and helping reduce stress. Higher frequencies may help promote clarity, alertness, and creativity, making them useful for concentration or meditation. In sessions, a practitioner will often use a mix of sounds, creating a layered experience that targets various energy centers, commonly known as chakras.
What to Expect in a Sound Healing Session
In a typical session, the experience is immersive. You’ll likely be lying down, as bowls, chimes, gongs, or tuning forks are used to create a soundscape around you. The practitioner will guide the experience, choosing specific frequencies based on your personal goals, whether that's stress reduction, mental clarity, or emotional release. Many people report feeling a deep sense of relaxation, a decrease in anxiety, and, over time, an increase in emotional resilience.
Benefits and the Path Forward
The benefits of sound healing go beyond relaxation. Many experience a greater sense of connection, both within themselves and with the world around them, often feeling more grounded and attuned to their purpose. Sound healing is not a "quick fix" but rather a powerful complement to a holistic wellness practice, encouraging self-reflection and gradual change.
For those interested in exploring, consider a session with a trained practitioner or experimenting with recordings that align with specific frequencies, like binaural beats or theta waves. Remember, this is a personal journey, and tuning into your own needs and responses is key.
Sound healing invites us to slow down, listen deeply, and realign with our own rhythm. As you step into this practice, it offers an opportunity to find peace in life’s natural resonance.
